    Friday-Monday – Worcester

Worcester is a beautiful cathedral and university city with a fascinating history. Located in the heart of the West Midlands on the banks of the River Severn, it boasts a wealth of interesting architecture and visits can be made to the Cathedral, the Tudor House Museum and the Commandery Museum. Our programme takes us to the impressive Warwick Castle & Grounds, with its one thousand year old history. Not to be missed are the State Dining Room with a marvellous panelled ceiling, the Great Hall with a display of armoury and the Red, Cedar and Green Drawing Rooms, decorated in the grandest manner. Stroll around the magnificent grounds and soak up the atmosphere of this medieval castle. We travel to Royal Leamington Spa, with its wide boulevards lined with stunning Regency architecture; Tewkesbury, an ancient town standing at the confluence of the Rivers Avon and Severn and Ross on Wye, an attractive town filled with half-timbered houses. We tour the Cotswolds, with its picturesque villages and allow ample time to explore Worcester with its riverside walks and independent shops.

    Tuesday – Scotland

We return to Scotland after an enjoyable late Spring holiday.
