    Itinerary

    Sunday – Breadsall

We leave from our local departure points and travel south to Breadsall, close to Derby and the Peak District National Park. Five nights will be spent in the Delta Hotels by Marriott Breadsall Priory.

    Monday – Thursday – Breadsall

We tour one of the most beautiful and popular tourist destinations in Britain, The Peak District National Park. Spectacular scenery, wonderful wildlife and historic sites await and our inclusive programme takes us to many of the fascinating attractions. We visit Bakewell, famous for the Bakewell Pudding, independent shops, art galleries and quaint tea rooms before continuing to Chatsworth House. Home to the Duke & Duchess of Devonshire, we enjoy the magnificent interior of this stately home and the fabulous gardens. We travel to Castleton, a beautiful village in the High Peak District and the Derwent Reservoir and Dam. The reservoir was used by the Lancaster bomber pilots as target practice before the attacks on the great dams of Germany. We step back in time and include entrances to the Crich Tramway village. This is one of Derbyshire’s award-winning attractions with the possibility to enjoy unlimited tram rides in the recreated period village. Visits will be made to Matlock; famed for hydro & spa treatments which became fashionable in the 19th century and Buxton; a spa town boasting the highest elevation of any market town in England and known as the festival town and cultural capital of The Peak District. Buxton’s beautiful Opera House, stunning Crescent and, of course, famous Buxton water, make the town well worth a visit. We visit Leek, the Queen of the Staffordshire Moorlands, boasting a stone-cobbled market square and well-preserved architecture. Sit back, relax and enjoy the gentle scenery of this fascinating area.

    Friday – Scotland

We return to Scotland after a relaxing Derbyshire coach holiday.
