We travel to Castleton, a beautiful village in the High Peak District and the Derwent Reservoir and Dam, used by the Lancaster bomber pilots as target practice before the attacks on the great dams of Germany. We visit nearby Chester, boasting the most complete city walls, oldest racecourse and largest amphitheatre in Britain and tour rural Cheshire, known for its rural villages of half-timbered and local red sandstone buildings.
