    The Crescent

Our iconic hotel is an exquisite example of Georgian architecture in the heart of Buxton.  Bedrooms combine modern comfort with classic elements and elegant public rooms, a lounge bar and spa area add to the enjoyment of our holiday.

    Tuesday – Buxton

We travel south to Buxton, in the centre of the beautiful Peak District and our iconic hotel for four nights. The Crescent Hotel.

    Wednesday- Friday - Buxton

Our base is Buxton, a spa town and home of Buxton Water in the Borough of High Peak in Derbyshire. It is the highest market town in England and boasts an impressive Opera House, making it the festival town and cultural capital of The Peak District. We tour the beautiful Peak District, visiting charming Bakewell, famous for the Bakewell Pudding, independent shops, art galleries and quaint tea-rooms and Matlock, once famed for its hydro spa treatments and now an attractive market town. We travel to Castleton, a beautiful village in the High Peak District and the Derwent Reservoir and Dam, used by the Lancaster bomber pilots as target practice before the attacks on the great dams of Germany. We visit nearby Chester, boasting the most complete city walls, oldest racecourse and largest amphitheatre in Britain and tour rural Cheshire, known for its rural villages of half-timbered and local red sandstone buildings. Ample time is given to enjoy delightful Buxton and the facilities of our charming hotel. We have included a Sparkling Afternoon Tea in our hotel and why not pamper yourself with a treatment in the five-star spa area?

    Saturday – Scotland

We return north to Scotland after a relaxing Derbyshire coach holiday.
