    Tuesday – Friday – Almondsbury

Our holiday centres around the regions of Somerset and Gloucestershire and we explore this fascinating area, at a gentle pace, including entrances to many places of interest. We are based close to Bristol, with its rich maritime traditions and have included a visit to Brunel’s SS Great Britain, once the longest passenger ship in the world. A scenic drive will take us to the Somerset Levels, Mendip Hills and the very picturesque Cheddar Gorge. We visit the medieval city of Wells with its magnificent Bishop’s Palace Moat and Gardens and include the admission to Painswick Rococo Garden, which was designed in the 1740’s as a fanciful pleasure garden for the owner of Painswick House and his guests. Gloucester is on our itinerary for a canal cruise with commentary from the skipper and we spend time in the beautiful Georgian City of Bath, with its famous Royal Crescent and Roman Baths. We travel to the stunning Westonbirt Arboretum, home to one of the most spectacular tree collections in the world and a delight to visit at any time of the year. Sit back and enjoy the beautiful scenic drives the south west of England has to offer.

    Saturday - Scotland

We return to Scotland after a wonderful coach holiday.
