    Our charming, historic four-star hotel features an indoor swimming pool, a fabulous spa area, classic décor bedrooms, a cocktail bar and spectacular views of the Scottish Borders.

     

    Itinerary

    Friday – Peebles

    We leave from our local departure points and travel to The Borders and Peebles for dinner and four nights. Peebles Hydro Hotel.

    Saturday - Monday – Peebles

    Nestled amongst the rolling Border hills in an area of outstanding beauty, the Royal Burgh of Peebles straddles the famous River Tweed, world-renowned for its salmon fishing. We tour this beautiful area, visiting charming Melrose, where the Eildon hills tower above the town with its 12th century abbey, quaint shops and tempting cafes. A stop will be made at Scott’s View, overlooking the valley of the River Tweed, which is reputed to be one of the favourite views of the famous author. We travel to Kelso, set at the junction of the Rivers Tweed and Teviot, boasting the largest market square in Scotland.
    Our hotel offers a magnificent package with full board included as of Christmas Eve. We shall take full advantage of the varied treats on offer in the hotel, which include Arts and Crafts classes, Gin tasting, Cinema Viewings, Cocktail making and why not try your hand (arm)! at Archery?
    Christmas Evening starts with Canapes and Music in the Lounge and after dinner enjoy Christmas Carols in the Lounge and a Ceilidh Band in the Ballroom.
    On Christmas Day, we enjoy a visit from Santa before a delicious Christmas Lunch followed by a Festive Quiz, Supper and Music in the lounge. Boxing Day will be packed with activities too and in the meantime, we have delightful Peebles on our doorstep to explore.

    Tuesday – Home

    We return home after a Magical Christmas, made even better by no washing-up or worrying if the turkey will defrost in time!!
