Monday: P&O Ferries
We leave from our local departure points and travel to Hull where our ferry awaits for the overnight crossing to Rotterdam. Twin berth outside cabins. Dinner and breakfast on board ship.
Tuesday: Franconia
We drive south to Germany and its largest province, Bavaria, to spend a peaceful night in Franconia. Drei Franken Hotels.
Wednesday: Trento
Breakfast over, our route is to Austria and Tyrol where the Brenner Pass leads us to Italy and our nightstop in historic Trento.
Sporting Hotel.
Thursday: Montecatini
Today we drive deeper into Italy, passing Modena and Bologna before arriving in Tuscany and the beautiful spa-town, Montecatini, where we spend seven nights in the excellent Hotel Torretta.
Friday to Thursday: Treasures of Tuscany
Our superb programme takes us by local train to Florence where we enjoy a guided tour of this beautiful Renaissance city.

We visit Lucca, the most graceful of Tuscany’s provincial capitals and experience ‘Etruscan Highlights’ including lunch in a typical farmhouse. We tour Montecatini, Italy’s most beautiful spa-town and ride the funicular railway to Monte Alto with magnificent views over the surrounding countryside.

Thursday: Martigny
Another wonderful day's touring takes us over the spectacular Great St. Bernard Pass to Switzerland and Lake Geneva to spend a night in Martigny. Hotel Alpes & Rhone. |
Friday: Dijon
We travel the shores of Lake Geneva before continuing west to France and the capital of Burgundy, the beautiful city of Dijon for dinner and the night.
Saturday: P&O Ferries
We drive north to Belgium and Zeebrugge where our ferry awaits for the overnight crossing to Hull. Twin berth outside cabins. Dinner and breakfast on board ship.
Sunday: Scotland
We return to Scotland in the early evening after a memorable holiday.
