Our base for seven
nights is Pau, the capital of Bearn, a pleasant
town full of gardens, prestigious museums and
wonderful panoramic views of the Pyrenees.
Our
programme of included excursions takes us on
the spectacular Artouste cable-car and
railway, the glamorous resorts of Biarritz and
St. Jean-de Luz, a tour of the National Park to
Jaca in Spain and nearby Lourdes.
En route
we spend a night in Paris and enjoy a tour of this
romantic city.
A picturesque route takes us
through central France to spend a night in Saint-
Junien and Chinon in the Loire Valley is a
highlight of our return itinerary.
